Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
Terex offers Genie DC and Bi-Energy equipment that are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial settings where the machine must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel fueled generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Several of the important characteristics provided by this combination consist of over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. What's more, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls offer the equipment with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and up, out and over positioning capabilities. Diesel engine machinery on most modes have an articulating boom that offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machines are ideal in small or narrow locations. Moreover, they offer excellent torque, grade and terrain maneuverability and supreme power. The diesel engines are generally quiet also. Most models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
The 4 or 2 wheel drive models, offer the rough terrain features and high ground clearance which make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom models are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models too.
